Selenium

Selenium is a must have trace mineral that supports immune function, thyroid health, and hormone regulation. Your thyroid is involved in many processes in your body, so when it is out of whack, you can experience weight gain, fatigue, and brain fog. Selenium helps regulate your thyroid by giving it the support it needs, improving overall hormone balance and brain health. Plus, it’s a powerful antioxidant that fights premature aging and reduces redness and inflammation. I get my Selenium from the Vitamin Shoppe. I take one 200 mcg tablet a day, which is below the upper daily limit of 400 mcg.

Saw Palmetto

Ladies, hormonal swings can wreak havoc on our skin. Saw Palmetto is traditionally marketed for men as a natural remedy for benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), a condition characterized by an enlarged prostate gland. Saw palmetto works by inhibiting the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), a hormone that contributes to prostate enlargement. But interestingly, by reducing DHT levels, saw palmetto is great for reducing hormonal acne breakouts and inflammation. It is recommended to take 320-960 mg of Saw Palmetto daily so I take one 320 mg capsule from Pure Encapsulations twice daily.

I purchase my Hyaluronic Acid from Pure Encapsulations, and it is essential for maintaining my plump, youthful complexion. Research recommends taking around 140 mg of hyaluronic acid daily. I take one of these 70 mg capsules twice daily.
